# How it works?

## Overview

OrdBridge facilitates the secure and permissionless migration of BRC-20 tokens to ERC-20 tokens. It achieves this by leveraging ‘transfer’ inscriptions of the BRC-20 protocol and utilising smart contracts on the Ethereum chain. In this section, we will go through the working and detailing of the bridge.
